Class Updates

World History 6: Students will be exploring the Nile River, social classes and belief systems of Ancient Egypt. Students will also complete a project on the leaders of Ancient Egypt and their many accomplishments.

Ancient History 7: Students will be examining feudal society in both Asia and Europe. Students will be comparing life in feudal Japan to that of medieval Europe.

American History 8: Students will be exploring of establishment of the US Constitution and the creation democratic republic.  Student will be exploring the principles of government that influenced the creation of the constitution and westward expansion.

American Government: Students will be examining the Executive and Legislative branches.  Students will have an opportunity to analyze the electoral college and determine if this system still makes sense for selecting a president.

US History: Students will be completing Unit 2: Industrialization & Popular Movements through an assessment in Performance Matters. Following our assessment, we will begin a new unit which will cover several topics focused on imperialism and World War I.

World History: Students will be first learning about revolutions and causes of the revolutions and unification of countries in Unit 3. In Unit 4, we begin the industrial age by learning about the causes, consequences, and experiences of people during the Industrial Revolution.

Personal Finance and Economic Theory (PFET): Students will be learning about banking, careers/benefits, insurance, investing, credit, and working on a two-part Budgeting project that will wrap up the course content.
