Upcoming MCAP Assessments in April and May!
All students enrolled in ELA (grades 4-8 & 10), Math (grades 4-9), and Science (grade10) will need to complete the required MCAP testing at their home school. If your learner’s home school has not contacted you regarding upcoming testing, please contact them so they can confirm the assessment dates and times for your learner(s). Please remember, that this is a non-negotiable expectation of all students enrolled in the program – any student who does not participate in state testing will be ineligible to return to OLP during the 2025-2026 school year. Please plan your schedule and transportation accordingly. Also, please notify your learner(s) OLP teacher(s) when testing so we can ensure to mark your student present. The testing window is May 12-30. Refer to the link at the top of the page for more detailed information about MCAP testing, scheduling, and testing window.

BCPS Device Expectations –
Please remember, all students in OLP should be using a
BCPS-issued device for instruction and to complete unit assessments. The use of a
BCPS device ensures that teachers can support your learner by communicating with
them individually, supporting them in navigating the instructional platforms, and so
much more! Additionally, students are required to use a BCPS-issued device to ensure
test security and integrity. Students are reminded to turn on their cameras and unmute
their mic during assessment administration.
BCPS Tech Support – New this year! The BCPS Technology Department has
established new processes for device support. Below are the two categories:
1. For Broken, Misplaced, Stolen, or other physical device issues, contact the
Tech Liaison at your learner's zoned BCPS school and ask to speak with or
leave a message for the Tech Liaison who will support you by inputting the
tech ticket into the Incident IQ platform.
2. For instructional platform access challenges, locked accounts, glitching
devices, or other technological issues, please contact the BCPS Tech Support
Office at 443-809-4672 Monday-Friday from 7:00 am - 4:15 pm or submit a
tech ticket via the BCPS Serve Portal.
